Have you been experiencing pain or discomfort due to the weakening of vaginal tissues? If so, consider FemiLift™, a vaginal tightening procedure offered at the offices of Alliance OB/GYN, located in Hainesport, New Jersey, and Delran, New Jersey. As women age or after they give birth, they often lose elasticity and strength in their vaginal tissues. This can lead to a number of issues, including urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness, and loss of sexual sensation. If you want to take back control, FemiLift may be right for you. Schedule a consultation by calling Chike Obianwu, MD, and the team at Alliance OB/GYN or using their online booking tool today.
FemiLift Q & A
What is FemiLift?
FemiLift is a nonsurgical and noninvasive laser treatment that revitalizes vaginal tissues. At Alliance OB/GYN, Dr. Obianwu offers FemiLift as a means to treat a number of different conditions, including:
- Vaginal dryness
- Urinary incontinence
- Loss of vaginal tightness
How does FemiLift work?
FemiLift laser treatment delivers controlled thermal heating and gentle ablation to the vaginal tissues. Once the laser beam reaches the tissues’ inner layers, it causes collagen and elastin to contract, thus stimulating their regeneration.
To cater to your needs and comfort, Dr. Obianwu can adjust the laser intensity and pattern of movement. Typically, patients don’t experience pain during the procedure.
A FemiLift session just takes 15 minutes, though you’ll likely be in the office around 30 minutes. Before performing the procedure, Dr. Obianwu performs a quick vaginal exam to make sure that everything is in order for treatment.
Before scheduling you for treatments, the doctor will decide how many sessions you require for full results. Usually, you’ll only require one or two treatments, though you may require as many as five. If you get more than one FemiLift treatment, you receive each new treatment between two and four weeks after the previous one.
Does FemiLift treatment require downtime?
After seeing Dr. Obianwu for your FemiLift treatment, you can return to your daily activities immediately. After 24 hours, you may resume exercising and going to the gym, and you can resume sexual activity after 72 hours.
Is FemiLift right for me?
FemiLift may be right for you if you’ve been suffering with:
- Loss of sexual sensation due to loss of vaginal tightness
- Loss of bladder control that’s interfering with your daily life
- Vaginal dryness
- Increased vaginal infections
FemiLift is great for you if you’re interested in rejuvenating your vaginal tissues but don’t have the time or don’t want to make time for a lengthy surgical procedure.
